Silicone mesh caps are partially watertight, offering better protection against splashing but letting water in at the seams.

Please note: No swimming cap is 100% watertight. Water can flow underneath, especially around the ears.

Choose the right cap

Mesh cap:

There's a lot of people who complain about spandex swim caps saying they don't keep the water out - that's not the point, they're meant to keep the hair in and reduce drag. This cap is extremely comfortable and holds up well.

I apologize for the bad experience that you have faced with the swimming cap. Ideally swimming caps are meant to follow hygiene at the pool and also to keep your hair from coming in between your swims.

 

Mesh caps are of similar material to that of your swimsuit and do not provide for water tightness. Alternatively I suggest if you're looking for more water tightness to go for silicon caps, but these also do not provide for 100% water tightness as water enters through the gap between the cap and your ears.

 

You may visit your nearest decathlon store for the best solution.
