Lovely shorts but very large in size so size down!

I ordered my normal size that all my usual trousers/leggings etc are in the majority of shops and was expecting them to be a snug fit as with most water/swim wear, but these seem to run very large once in water. Please if you order consider going down a size. Or even two sizes
. They were OK out of the pool, they did stay up to walk from changing room to pool, but as soon as I started to swim they were falling down with the movement of the water. They look and feel lovely and are very lightweight, I just didn’t realise that these would need to be a very very tight fit over a swimming costume if they are going to stay on you! It’s a shame the waist can’t be pulled in very tight for in the water and then loosened off for comfort once out of the water, but the drawstring is for looks only, it cannot be tightened. I will re purpose these as comfortable, light shorts for around the house in the summer and look at something tighter fitting for swimming in.
