I normally pay 200+ for a pair of runners and tried a pair of $50 on special trail runner, bloody excellent ! Bang for buck
There are great! I bought them for trail running
Good grip on most terrain though I don't really go 'off piste' much. I'm a heel striker though and completely wore down the lugs at the back after 500km
These trainers are great for those (like me) who go off the beaten track but not to the extent of needing spikes. The tread is not too aggressive that you cant go on slightly hard terrain but more than enough for the wet boggy mud around. Only down side is they aren't waterproof!
I like this better compare to my salomon shoes. The traction and comfortability is top notch.
If you are looking for durable, efficient and affordable trail shoes Kalenji XT7 is best for you. With its 5mm shoe lugs, it will assures you the strongest grip on uphill and downhill terrain.
These are great shoes and superb value for money. I am on my third pair now, or should that be I am alternating between my second and third pair. The grip in the wet, in the snow, on rocks and on wet snowy rocks is exceptional. The confidence they give when planting your foot on an undetermined surface during a torchlit trail run is huge. If you get one lug on a boulder it will grip. These are comfortable over short or long distances and just as at home on the road as the trail. I completed 2 marathons in them this year because I didn't fully trust my road shoes. The XT7's didn't let me down. I also use my semi retired second pair for walking.
early days but very comfortable so far
