TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Copaya is Decathlon's beach volleyball brand.

Copaya, featuring beach (playa) influences and Brazilian flavours (Copacabana).
Our range of balls, sets, nets, and accessories are specially designed for beach volleyball and adapted to the needs of all players!

About our hybrid technology

The design process for this beach volleyball was inspired by football.
The original idea was to create a ball without visible seams and with increased durability.
In addition, the ball's thicker foam inner coating provides a better grip. The ball feel guarantees better passes, landings, defences, shots and serves!

Always inflate it to the right pressure!

Take note: a well-inflated ball is the key to a great game! Follow our instructions to properly inflate your ball. Did you know that a beach volleyball should be less inflated than an indoor volleyball?
0.18 to 0.22 bars for a beach volleyball
0.3 bars for a volleyball
If you don't have a pump with a pressure gauge, just touch it: it should be very soft and flexible to the touch.

Official size and weight

This ball meets the official standards for beach volleyball:
Weight: Between 260 and 280 g
Size 5: 65 to 67 cm circumference

Water absorption

We tested the ball by rotating it continuously in 2 cm of water for 6 hours. At the end of the test, the ball absorbed no more than 15% of its initial weight.
