What is the fit of the 900 liner jacket?
The 900 liner jacket has a slim fit.
How should you wash your liner jacket?
* Close all the zippers on the jacket
* Turn it inside out
* Machine wash at 30°C, delicate cycle with little detergent and no fabric softener. Important: set to a very gentle spin cycle (less than 800 RPM): too strong a spin could create feather balls that are difficult to undo
* Put two clean, ideally white, tennis balls in the drum of the washing machine
* Perform a second or third rinse cycle to make sure that any detergent that remains from the previous wash has been removed
How should you dry your liner jacket?
Tumble dry (strongly recommended)
* Gentle or delicate cycle.
* Dry on several long cycles to dry completely.
* Shake the down between cycles to break up any clumps that formed during washing.
If you do not have a dryer, the process is longer (drying flat can take one to two weeks). Make sure you pat the jacket to avoid clumps (at least 4–5 times).
Where do the feathers come from?
Our traceability system guarantees the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to using responsible materials. Our suppliers are committed to using only feathers that come from ducks that are raised for their meat and plucked after slaughter.
The fill power of a jacket: what is it? (CUIN)
This 85% down/15% feather jacket has a guaranteed fill power of 600 CUIN (European standard).
“Fill power” is a measure of the down’s thermal insulation capacity through its ability to “trap” a specific amount of air. Down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) takes up more space, traps more air, and provides greater thermal insulation.
The advantages of duck down and feather fill
The down’s long-lasting fill power gives it three important qualities for winter sports:
- Thermal insulation, because of the air trapped in the down and feathers
- Lightness, because down is lighter than synthetic fill and offers the same degree of warmth
- Compressibility
Our products’ environmental impact
Different indicators are used to calculate the product’s environmental impact over its entire life cycle. An ABCDE rating shows the environmental impact of a product. Put forward by ADEME, it takes into account production, transportation, usage, and waste generated at the end of a product’s life.
Decathlon displays this information voluntarily to help you identify products with lower environmental impact.
