TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Can I be sure that my pants are warm enough for winter hiking?

The inside fabric is brushed, a tried and tested method for retaining heat. The principle is simple: the knit fabric’s structure adds volume to trap air, which is naturally insulating. This is exactly the same principle as animal fur and feathers.

What is water repellency and how can you maintain it?

Water repellency is a fabric’s capacity to make water run off its surface without being absorbed. It prevents the fabric from soaking up water, keeping it lightweight, warm, and breathable. Water repellency is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. The garment should be retreated over its lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products (spray or liquid) designed specifically for this purpose are available in our stores.

How do my pants protect me from outdoor conditions?

In winter, protection from both moisture (snow, rain) and wind is important, because the latter can significantly cool the body when moving or at rest. The windproof and water-repellent outer fabric was designed to handle all winter conditions. We also added attachments to stop snow from getting inside.

How to dress properly for hiking in the snow

Whatever your cold-weather activity, use the three-layer principle:
Layer 1: A high-tech base layer to wick moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.
Layer 2: A fleece or sweater to provide warmth and transfer moisture outwards.
Layer 3: A jacket to protect against outdoor conditions: rain, snow, and wind.
To eliminate moisture, the whole outfit must be breathable.

Will your pants withstand regular use long term?

To ensure the durability of our products, tests are conducted to measure: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colourfastness, resistance to repeated washing. All these tests were conducted on the material used in these pants.

How does my product warranty work?

This product is guaranteed for two years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear or improper use.

Bought these for COVID walks. Good fit and keep me warm. They are shower proof but I haven’t base out in a deluge to test them there. Size 12 slightly long for my 5’3” but ok.

Bought to be able to continue walking in winter. Fits the job. In driving rain they do let water through eventually but dry quickly. Comfortable to wear too. Would recommend.

Really good product. I wanted warm and rain resistant trousers for dog walking. I did not rate excellent as I followed the sizing guide and the size it recommended was way too big. Had to send back and get smaller size. Think this is due to French and EU sizes being different. I am a very standard size 12, 59 kilos and the M is right for me.
