Although these water-repellent pants don't get wet too fast, they will not keep you dry under steady rain. To stay dry, adding over-pants is recommended.

One pair to rule the trail

This is the only pair of pants I wore on my PCT thuhike in 2021. They performed very well in all conditions. Although I mostly kept the lower leg zipped on the ease with which I could go from long to short was appreciated. They withstood thorny bushes thru the desert, sharp rocks in the Sierras, climbing over dead fall in Oregon and the inclement weather of Washington. They still look got and will continue to get wear as I go back to work.
