TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Intermediate surfers

At the intermediate level, you surf on a regular basis. During your sessions, you paddle out to the lineup and feel comfortable duck diving or turtle rolling under waves. You can handle currents and frequent falls. Intermediate surfers need swimwear that will stay in place, no matter the strength of the wave. We offer a wide range of swimwear for intermediate surfers of all body types.

Versatile beachwear

Whether you’re surfing or swimming in the sea, you want a swimsuit that will stay put! This is why we test all our swimsuits in the waves. This model is designed for surfing, but is also suitable for sports such as stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, swimming, etc.

Design

This sporty bikini top completely covers the chest and has a fun print. The shoulders are exposed, ideal for surfing or stand-up paddling. The back is open, but the thin crossed straps provide excellent stability. This top covers and supports the chest. It has removable padded cups and is best suited to small busts.

Stays in place in the waves: Testing

Our swimsuits are designed to stay in place in the waves. Our women’s styles are tested by a panel of female surfers with different body types. They’re first tested in a pool under simulated surfing conditions, then worn during real sessions in the ocean.

Feel confident in your bathing suit

For 6 years, we’ve been working to help women feel confident at the beach. Our mission is to ensure that women of all shapes and sizes are able to find a bathing suit they feel great in.

What are padded cups?

Unlike cut and stitched foam pads, shaped cups have no visible seams, cause no irritation, and create a smooth, flattering curve. Most of Olaian’s women’s swimsuits feature padded cups for maximum comfort. In some styles, the cups are removable so you can adjust the fit by a half size.

Dry and wet sizing

Swimsuits become looser when wet, so it’s important to choose the correct size. The swimsuit should fit snugly when you try it on in the fitting room. Keep in mind that the elastane in some of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

Decathlon’s surfing brand, Olaian, is based in Hendaye, France. With our offices right by the water, we can design products and field-test them the very same day.

The thin crossed straps provide good stability of the bikini top during movement. For your information, all our swimsuits were tested in a wavy environment which meets the requirements of your activity.
