Studio Dynamic Yoga Mat 3 mm - Green

Bought this as a gift for my son - a replacement for the same mat he purchased some time ago and has travelled the world with him.

I liked this product a lot because of following reasons.
1. Excellent Grip
2. A very nice colour
3. Great Feel.
4. Easy to handle.

The mat is not at all worth the money. The air is filled inside the mat when you go for Virabhadrasana 1 or 2. It’s the worst purchase i have ever made.

I don't like using thick mats because I want to be able to feel the floor and adjust but I needed something to stop me from slipping on my house's wooden floors. This mat has the perfect grip on both sides and is very thin so it's perfect for intermediate to advanced yogis. It's also very easy to clean, I rinse it with water in the shower once a week and after many months it's still like new.

Material is not good it has been just 1 week i can find weared marks and rubber dust all around the table, and also sweat marks won't dry so next u will be finding sweat patches all around the mat. I went to this product just because of grip but seeing all these problems it's better to buy some other mat.

Light and thin - just the right thickness and weight to be carrying to classes. Not to mention it provides excellent grip for someone whom perspire a lot. Highly recommended.

My initial purchase was the same mat in black. However upon delivery there were track-like marks on both sides of the mat where the black layer looks worn out or thinner. I was told to go to the store for exchange but during the visit, I was given the green in exchange as all the black mats have the same problem.
This green mat is definitely grippy and that is good, however the sweat stains are hard to remove and now are permanent unsightly features on the mat (i wipe down after each session). I start to notice the wrinkles on localised spots as well. Having said this, I have used this mat 10 times since the exchange.

I like the matcha green colour on top, and feel it’s a sturdy mat when I tried at the store. But after using a couple of times, it’s not totally to my satisfaction. Below at the pros and cons.

Pros:
- Truly non slip
- Nice colour
- feels sturdy
Cons:
- At 3 mm, it feels much harder and less protection as compared with my 3mm Nike foam mat I’ve been using for almost 20 years
- it really marks .. even when trying at the store for just a few poses eg downward dog .. there were oil stains (I was feeling bad as I just had a massage & didn’t disappear even after I tried cleaning with wet tissue) but at home, with no oil applied, it still marks badly so it’s looking quite used
- it’s too hard .. when I used it to do headstand, it’s feels so different from my Nike
- it’s heavy (if it weren’t so heavy I’d likely take the slightly thicker version.

Might have preferred to get a pilates mat instead. Or a different colour ..

I have been using this yoga mat for almost a year now (bi-weekly practices). There is a good grip and I really like the style of this mat.
