Unfortunately there's no quick attach/release function, only bolts. So once you attach it - it is there forever. I do not need it every time I ride, though. Yes, I could use the bag, but bag is different, and it is attached to the side of the bike, not on the top of the rack.
I'd like a system like they have for the front basket sometimes, or some clipping mechanism.

I love this basket BUT the provided bolts are too short to secure the back of the basket- so only one end is fastened. I will have to go hunting at the hardware store for longer bolts that will fit.

Bolts are short. had to use half inch longer. Otherwise easy to assemble ( also attached my own locknuts) looks great on bike. Wife likes

Easy to install, looks good, like the Vio clip. Used to carry a heavy backpack. The cutout is good. Size fits ok on a rack in a 24” bike.
