Cut
This fleece vest is fitted but not too tight. Wearing a technical undergarment close to the skin is recommended for better protection against the cold. This fleece was designed to be worn under our windproof and waterproof jackets, such as the MH 100 Hiking Jacket. Choose your usual size.
How does the fabric insulate you from the cold?
The fleece component is designed to trap air, which acts as a natural insulator to keep the body warm.
How is warmth measured?
Two types of tests measure warmth: - a material test - a test on a thermal dummy in a thermal chamber We reproduce the temperature, wind (5 km/h or 3 mph), and humidity conditions encountered in the mountains during a 5 km/h (3 mph) hike. These tests help us validate our design choices before field-testing. This vest has a comfort temperature between 7°C and 10°C (without a jacket on top).
How do we test for durability?
Our hiking fleece is tested for guaranteed durability. We guarantee: - resistance to pilling due to backpack use and body movement - durable seams - resistance to washing - colourfastness after washing, exposure to UV light, or contact with perspiration
