Unisex cut
The built-in overshoes are guaranteed to protect your shoes in rainy weather and can be folded into the leg of the overpants in dry weather. Remember to properly fasten the overshoe’s elastic behind the heel for secure pedalling. Our 540 and 900 City Cycling Overpants have a specific cut for both men and women.
Waterproofing
- Water-repellent treatment A fluorine-free chemical wash on the fabric's surface makes water slide right off. This treatment can be reactivated by heat (10 minutes in the tumble drier on a gentle cycle). - Waterproof construction A waterproof strip under the seams prevents water getting in. - Waterproof fabric A fabric's capacity to prevent water from penetrating it.
Measuring waterproofing
Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers or mmH2O (the pressure exerted by a water column). A material with a rating of 10,000 mmH2O (400") can resist 10 m (10 yd) of water. The bigger the number, the more waterproof the fabric.
How to care for your overpants
To preserve their waterproofing, we recommend regularly reactivating the fabric's water-repellent property. You can do this every three washes or after a dozen uses in the rain. The overpants’ water-repellent property can be easily reactivated with heat: put them in your dryer for about 15 minutes. After washing, be sure to rinse completely.
Compatibility with lights and pant clips
You can clip lights behind each leg using the 2 attachment systems.For more freedom of movement, you can use pant clips to tighten the cuffs.

Wear your overpants with a waterproof poncho or jacket.
Component breathability
Hydrophilic coating (RET = 12): Limits condensation inside the garment. To determine a fabric’s breathability, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 Standard). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric allows perspiration to escape, increasing its breathability.For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric. 9 < RET < 12 = highly breathable fabric. 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric. RET > 20 = slightly or not breathable fabric.

Wish the overshoes were more useful

These overpants are truly waterproof, which is great. As a byproduct, they also block out of lot of wind. However, they are not made as large as I expected. I had to go one size above my usual to get a good fit over my regular pants. As for the overshoes, they don't really wor
k as advertised because they are way too small. It seems like they're made for men's size 7 or something. They definitely do not fit securely over larger shoes and boots and they will easily pop off while you're riding.

C’est vraiment triste de voir comment Décathlon n’a pas progressé avec ce surpantalon qui est unisexe et exclus plusieurs les types de corps. Ce pantalon ne tient pas compte des morphologies de personnes avec des hanches et du ventre. Je fais du XL mais non je ne mesure pas
1,80 m. Je mesure 1,65m et en XL, la longueur des jambes bien trop longue. C’est tellement inconfortable. La taille monte trop haute, bref j’ai l’impression d’être une enfant dans un vêtement d’adulte. Impossible de faire du vélo avec ça. Merci de développer le produit pour le rendre accessible à plus de corps différents.
