What is R-value?
R-value is a measure of thermal insulation. It indicates how much heat a material retains or allows to escape. The higher the R-value, the better the mattress’s insulation. R-value can be increased: stack two mats to combine their R-values. All our mats are tested to standard ASTM F3340-18.
What R-value do you need?
R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) R-value from 2 to 3: 2 or 3 seasons (spring-summer-fall) R-value from 3 to 4: 4-season R-value of 4.5 and higher: suitable for use all year round, including freezing conditions.
Comfortable support for your back
This lightweight mat is unusually comfortable because the foam is moulded to provide depth and support. Though only 2 cm (0.8”) thick, the mat is supportive and comfortable.
