Cut

A cut that is high-tech and feminine by design: it’s slim-fitting without being too snug and feminine while letting you move freely. The length in the back protects your lower back from the cold; the hood provides thermal insulation. Choose your usual size.

How does the material insulate you from the cold?

The brushed pile texture of the fleece traps warm air, providing natural heat retention.

How is warmth measured?

Two types of tests measure warmth: - a material test - a test on a thermal dummy in a thermal chamber We reproduce the temperature, wind (5 km/h), and humidity conditions encountered in the mountains during a 5 km/h hike. These tests help us validate our design choices before field testing. This fleece has an optimal comfort temperature of between 10°C and 13°C (without a coat over top).

How is breathability measured?

The breathability of a material is its capacity to wick away the moisture generated by perspiration. During intense effort, it’s essential to wear very breathable clothing so you don’t stay wet. Breathability is measured with a rating of the fabric’s evaporative resistance, or RET. The lower the number, the more breathable the fabric: RET ≤ 3: extremely breathable fabric RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric etc.

How is durability tested?

Wear on our hiking fleeces is tested to guarantee durability. We guarantee: - resistance to wear from backpacks and arm movements to delay pilling, specific to this material - the strength of seams - resistance of the fleece material after three washes (size stability) - the material retains its colour after washing and exposure to UV and perspiration

Where do our fleeces come from?

Created in our international design centre at the foot of the Mont Blanc in France, this product is then manufactured and assembled by our suppliers in China and Vietnam. These are partners that have genuine expertise in making our fleeces and with whom we collaborate closely. Thanks to this relationship of trust with our industrial partners, we can create high-quality technical products.

We guarantee that our suppliers comply with our code of conduct. These suppliers are often located in developing countries where our presence helps to create jobs. By conducting audits and having teams on site, we make sure that the working environment of the employees meets certain quality standards in terms of human respect, personal fulfilment, and environmental protection.
