How does the fabric insulate you from the cold?
The fleece component is designed to trap air, which acts as a natural insulator to keep the body warm.
How is warmth measured?
We perform two kinds of tests to measure the warmth of our fleece: - a material test - tests on a thermal manikin in a thermal chamber We reproduce wind (5 km/h; 3 mph), temperature, and humidity conditions typically encountered in the mountains on a 5 km/h (3 mph) hike. These laboratory tests determine the design, which is then validated by field testers. This fleece will keep you comfortable at temperatures ranging from 7°C to 10°C, with no extra layer.
How is durability tested?
Our hiking fleece is tested for guaranteed durability. We guarantee: - resistance to pilling due to backpack use and body movement - durable seams - resistance to washing - colourfastness after washing, exposure to UV light, or contact with perspiration

Good value. I went out night skiing at the resort with this. I wore it on top of the Wedze 100 base layer top and under an insulated ski jacket. The temps that night were about -12C to -18C. I didn't feel cold at all while skiing. Next time though, if it was that cold agai
