Long-lasting performance
To maintain water repellency, we recommend regular reactivation. Reactivate water repellency after three washes (remember to rinse thoroughly) or after using a dozen times in the rain. You can easily reactivate water repellency by warming the fabric: - in a dryer for 15 minutes (synthetics cycle) - with a hair dryer, moving back and forth from a distance of 20 cm (8”), twice - with an iron on the delicate setting and with the steam function off
Component waterproofing
The waterproofing of a fabric is measured in Schmerbers or mm of water (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket is designed with a waterproof coating: this component resists 5,000 mm of water (Schmerbers) before washing (equivalent to the pressure exerted by a 5,000 mm column of water).

The fabric of this jacket is breathable: RET = 12.Component breathability is measured using thermal evaporative resistance (RET). RET refers to a fabric’s capacity to let perspiration evaporate. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric RET ≤ 20: little or no breathability

Packs up nice and small, good for rainy or windy days. Got a hole in the seam fairly quickly, but considering the price, still good value as it still functions fine and is excellent for stuffing in a backpack for a hiking trip.

Not so satisfied coz i find it a hassle to put on and off.. i realized full zip rain jacket is better.. im kinda forced to keep it though since returning it to a not-so-nearby store is inconvenient and return by mail will cost me $8 plus tax to be deducted from refund amt.

This jacket is so handy because it fold up so small into its own pocket. It is waterproof as advertised but made me sweat a bit in the jungle weather. It is perfect, just what I needed for a central american touring adventure.
