Balance bike teach kids to propel themselves so they can learn to balance. The bearing quality is important because it allows kids to gain enough momentum to lift their feet and find their balance.
We opted for a simple design for this entry-level model—a metal axle inserted directly through the wheel's plastic rim.

Why is the bearing quality important?

We've done everything we can to make this balance bike fit your child for as long as possible by giving it a saddle that adjusts in height by 11 cm (4").

All our balance bikes are lab-tested. These tests confirm that they comply with the EN-71 safety standard and ensure the product’s durability and braking power. The product is tested to meet the needs of kids and parents alike, and stands up to real-life conditions.

How are our balance bikes tested?

The box contains the bike’s parts (wheels, frame, and saddle) and the tools you need to assemble it.

What’s in the box?

What are the dimensions of the B100?

We recommend checking the condition of your scooter before and after each ride. Remember to check for abnormal play, cracks, and sharp edges. Wheels and bearings are subject to wear. They should be checked and replaced if necessary. To repair your scooter and extend its life, visit your local Decathlon workshop to order any spare parts you need.

How should you maintain the B100?

The handlebar can be removed and fixed underneath the deck with a rubber strap. This makes the scooter less bulky for easy transportation and storage.

Transporting the B100

All of our scooters have been lab-tested. These tests verify compliance with the European standards for scooters and check wear on the scooter. For example, one of our tests involves a machine that folds the scooter 10,000 times to check its folding system. In addition to lab tests, we do field tests—some measured and others based on testers' opinions—to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.

Helmets are designed to protect your head from a single impact. If you fall, you should replace the helmet even if there are no signs of damage. It may be weakened or cracked in an area you can’t see, and no longer provide adequate protection.
We recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years. Some of its components begin to age at this point, especially if stored in a cold or wet place. Manufacturing dates are printed inside the helmet.
