How are these top-layer pants designed for female cyclists?
Female-specific cut designed with darts on the knees to fit your position on a city bike. The elasticated waistband and high-rise back provide a great fit and lower back protection. The fitted hems won’t catch the wind or get snagged on your bike. The built-in overshoes and heel protection provide optimal comfort in wet weather as long as the elastic is correctly positioned behind the heel.
Waterproofing
- Water-repellent treatment A fluorine-free chemical wash on the fabric’s surface makes water slide right off. This treatment can be reactivated by heat (10 minutes in the tumble drier on a gentle cycle). - Waterproof construction A waterproof strip under the seams prevents water getting in. - Waterproof fabric A fabric’s capacity to prevent water from penetrating it.
Measuring waterproofing
Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers or mmH2O (the pressure exerted by a water column). A material with a rating of 10,000 mmH2O can resist 10 m (10 yd) of water. The bigger the number, the more waterproof the fabric.

Waterproof and breathable
This product has a breathable waterproof fabric (RET = 12) that limits condensation on the inside. We have measured its evaporative resistance (RET) using a test based on the ISO 11092 standard. The lower its resistance, the more the fabric allows perspiration to escape, increasing its breathability.For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric. 9 < RET < 12 = highly breathable fabric. 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric. RET > 20 = slightly or not breathable fabric.
Easy to put on
These overpants are easy to put on as they open from the foot all the way up to the knee. You can put them on whether sitting or standing, no matter what shoes you’re wearing. To keep your overpants in good shape, we recommend fully opening the zippers when you put them on so that they won't catch on your shoes.
Storing the overpants
These overpants can be stuffed into the pocket on the inside of the waist.
Durability
The areas that suffer the most wear have been reinforced with a fabric that better withstands abrasion.

Brilliant design. I’m a size 10 and the small fit me perfectly. I’ve worn them all day long instructing children to cycle in biblical rain and I’ve stayed dry. The overshoes are such a great design. Buying a back up pair cos I’m going to live in them!!!

My previous waterproof trousers were also Decathlon, so I had high hopes for these trousers, they fit me well and they protect the feet well too. Unfortunately these have leaked every time I have used them - I arrived home with the top of my thighs wet and crotch too which is
horrible! One time I was cycling through very heavy rain, so yes, some leakage can happen, but the other 3 times the rain was steady but not heavy, and my old trousers never leaked like these do. I cannot use them cycling to work because it means I would be soaked through in the office all day. I will sadly be returning the trousers to the store I bought them.

These are good waterproof overtrousers, I've cycled in heavy Glasgow rain with them and they kept me dry. I like the integrated over shoes, and the high vis strips. However I am quite short and even when going for the smallest size, these are still a little bit long for me.

These are brilliant in most ways, but do not fit a curvier shape. I'm a size 10/12 with an hour glass shape, so I went for the large to fit my bigger thighs and bum. They fit perfectly on those parts, but we're about 15cm too long unfortunately. I know if I get the smaller siz
e my thighs won't fit. Such a shame as I really like them.

Acheté pour le porter à moto. Il fait largement le job pour un tarif défiant la concurrence des produits moto. Par contre pour le vélo, je trouve ça pas donné.. Cependant il est vraiment très imperméable, et il est beaucoup mieux que l'ancien pantalon de pluie de marque moto q
ue j'avais avant. Le fait de protéger les chaussures est une très bonne idée ! La fermeture éclair en bas des jambes me permet de l'enfiler avec mes baskets moto et le pantalon ne bouge pas une fois en selle grâce aux élastiques à placer sous la chaussure.
