Design
Male-specific cut designed with darts on the knees to fit your position on a city bike. The elastic waistband and high-rise back provide a great fit and lower back protection. The fitted hems won’t catch the wind or get snagged on your bike. The built-in overshoes and heel protection provide optimal comfort in wet weather as long as the elastic is correctly positioned behind the heel.
Waterproofing
- Water-repellent treatment A fluorine-free chemical wash on the fabric's surface makes water slide right off. This treatment can be reactivated by heat (10 minutes in the tumble drier on a gentle cycle). - Waterproof construction A waterproof strip under the seams prevents water getting in. - Waterproof fabric A fabric's capacity to prevent water from penetrating it.
Measuring waterproofing
Waterproofing is measured in Schmerbers or mmH2O (the pressure exerted by a water column). A material with a rating of 10,000 mmH2O (400") can resist 10 m (10 yd) of water. The bigger the number, the more waterproof the fabric.

Waterproof and breathable
This product has a breathable waterproof fabric (RET = 12) that limits condensation on the inside. We have measured its evaporative resistance (RET) using a test based on the ISO 11092 standard. The lower its resistance, the more the fabric allows perspiration to escape, increasing its breathability.For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric. 9 < RET < 12 = highly breathable fabric. 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric. RET > 20 = slightly or not breathable fabric.
Certified visibility
Certified according to the new EN17353 standard (previously EN1150), making cyclists visible at night with reflective bands on the calves. The reflective elements have been carefully positioned to account for the constraints of cycling so that they guarantee 360° visibility at 50 m (55 yd) at night when car headlights are shining on them.
Easy to put on
These rain pants are easy to put on as they open from the foot all the way up to the knee. You can put them on whether sitting or standing, no matter what shoes you’re wearing. To keep your rain pants in good shape, we recommend fully opening the zippers when you put them on so that they won't catch on your shoes.
Storing the rain pants
These rain pants can be stuffed into the pocket on the inside of the waist.
Durability

Fits a bit tightly. Couldn't compare it to the 20$ counterpart as it was out of stock. Holds water and wind out pretty well (used it for night cycling). No real setbacks.

I found both the coat and the pants to be small. Perhaps this is because as Canadians, we layer a lot more than the French. So for the jacket, I bought extra large, and not medium. For these pants, they were longer than normal but cover the feet and would allow some sweat pant

A very big improvement over the entry level one which I had before with the reflective band, completely waterproof, comfortable and much sturdier and more waterproof built-in overshoes. I would have given 5 stars, if the leg zips hadn't failed one quickly after the other af
ter a few months. Sounds like a design flaw to put a weak zip (with tiny teeth) in an area which typically receives a lot of dirt. Would have recommended them if not for that.
