Will my child stay dry when playing in the snow?
The wadding keeps your child warm. The polyester-based synthetic material traps air. The thicker the wadding, the more air it contains and the warmer it is. The kids’ snowsuit has 150 g/m² wadding.
How can I be sure that my child will stay dry when playing in the snow?
A fabric’s water resistance is measured by the height of a water column in mm it can support (test based on the ISO 811 Standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Waterproof material with a rating of 2,000 mm withstands the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm column of water. It’s a quality guarantee.
How do I ensure my child’s mittens won’t get lost and will keep their hands warm and dry?
Use the Lugiklip system to attach Wedze mittens onto the sleeves of their Wedze snowsuit and coat. The fun design of Lugiklip accessories encourages your child to attach the mittens to their sleeves all on their own! The colours combine to create animal characters. The mittens will always be ready to put on! Mittens not included with the snowsuit.
How can I keep snow out of my child’s snowsuit?
Pull the elastic at the bottom of the snowsuit under the boot to keep out snow and cold air.
How to dress your kids so they stay warm in the snow.
To stay warm and dry, we recommend the 3-layer technique: Layer 1 or a thermal base layer, to stay dry. Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3: to protect against the elements.
What is water repellency?
A water-repellent fabric doesn’t absorb liquid: the fabric does not soak up water and stays light and breathable. You can see water bead and run off the fabric’s surface. A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be reapplied throughout the product’s lifetime (every 3 washes).
Restoring water repellency
To reactivate its water repellency, wash the garment inside out on a synthetic cycle at 30°C and rinse thoroughly. Use your usual laundry detergent but not fabric softener. Then let the snowsuit air dry completely on a drying rack. Finally, turn the garment right side out and tumble dry on low heat for 10 minutes. The heat reactivates the fabric’s water-repellent treatment.
Where can I write my child’s name on this snowsuit?
Write your child’s name on the label inside. Helps you quickly find the snowsuit at daycare.
Where can I store my child’s pacifier on this snowsuit?
Special hook-and-loop tab chest pocket for storing their pacifier.
How is the waterproof rating of the kids’ snowsuit verified?
The waterproofing of a fabric is measured in Schmerbers or mm of water (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This jacket is designed with a waterproof coating: this component resists 5,000 mm of water (Schmerbers) before washing (equivalent to the pressure exerted by a 5-metre column of water).
