We design products in 4 different levels: Novice, beginner, intermediate, advanced
- Novices: Designed for catching small waves (< 50 m) in shallow water below navel level. Push off the ground with your feet and ride the wave to shore. - Beginner: Gentle turns in waves up to 1 m, propulsion with fins. A must for learning to bodyboard. - Intermediate: Waves up to 1.50 m, more speed, and the beginning of tricks (360 °, El Rollo, etc.). - Advanced: All types of waves, command of tricks, even aerial: ARS, 360°, tube...
Designed for beginner bodyboarders, these high-flex fins ensure gentle acceleration.
These fins ensure greater comfort with their supple material and heel strap, while the reduced blade size helps beginners feel more confident in the water. With a stiff blade and side ribs for gentle, steady propulsion, The symmetrical shape offers good balance between finning power and fin volume. Wear neoprene socks for added comfort.
Choosing the right fin size
Always try on fins before buying them. They should support feet without being too tight. The strap at the back should be in contact with heel, and toes should not be bent. If you add neoprene socks for comfort and/or warmth, you will need to go up half a size. Consider trying the fins on with and without socks at the time of purchase. Using or not using a fin leash will also require going up or down half a size.
Non-floating fins
Keep your fins fully submerged for maximum efficiency. Beginners will find the weight of these fins particularly helpful for avoiding splashing at the surface of the water. Since they don’t float, using a fin leash (sold separately) is strongly recommended. This will make the fins more comfortable and prevent you from losing them in the waves.
Asymmetrical fins
To ride down the line of the wave on a bodyboard and not swerve off to the side, use the fins. The side ribs help surfers stick to the face of the wave better and maintain a steady course. Asymmetric fins (e.g. RIP fins) can accentuate this phenomenon and require good bodyboarding skills since. As a result of the thrust of the fins not being symmetrical, additional twisting forces are experienced in the knees. They are reserved for advanced users.
Water safety and etiquette - Part 1
Bodyboarding is a fantastic sport, but certain basic rules have to be respected to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all. and the conditions before hitting the water. Note the current, rocks, tidal influence, size of the waves and number of people in the water, etc. 2- Don’t overestimate your level, and go for an easier spot if your skills don't match up to the conditions. 3- Use proper equipment that’s in good condition (leash, fins, board, wetsuit).
Water safety and etiquette - Part 2
4- Follow the wave priority rules: Right-of-way goes to the person closest to the peak. 5- Avoid the breaking wave area when moving back up to the peak to avoid cutting another boarder off. 6- Use fins if the water is above your hips. 7- If you’re not using fins, stay in a supervised area. 8- Bodyboard in a group.
