Why create a pair of travel leggings?
We spent time in the field with the design team (designer, product manager, and engineer) to observe what women need when they go backpacking. Many prefer leggings because they are extremely comfortable when travelling, walking, and even sleeping! We decided to offer a version of our leggings designed for outdoor use and travelling.
Travel 500 Leggings
We decided to offer leggings designed for travel and outdoor use. This involved replicating the comfortable stretch of standard leggings, with the addition of a durable fabric for the seat and knees. The result was a pair of leggings designed for outdoor travel. For walking in the mountains or picnicking on a rock, without the risk of holes!
How were the Travel 500 Leggings tested?
We tested the leggings during development to make sure they meet backpackers’ needs. Our travelling testers tried out all the features of the product for one week in the Canary Islands. The size and position of the pockets, the fit, and the seams: they reviewed and validated everything!
The security of your belongings matters!
When backpacking, nothing is worse than losing your passport or bank card. To give you peace of mind while travelling, we added a secure hidden pocket on the waistband of the leggings.

The pockets on these leggings are incredible! Their engineering is such that the weight in them is so evenly distributed that you can't feel what's in them. The first two times I wore them, I kept checking to see if I still had my phone! I do wildlife photography so I needed a
pant/legging that would give me ultimate stretch, durability, adequate number of pockets & freedom of movement. These leggings hit all the targets. As for the waist size being a little large (from other comments), because there is a pocket in the front of the waist, you need a little bit of extra room so you can access it.
