Our new medium density pad
To ensure greater comfort in the saddle, we created this medium density chamois pad. The fabric is soft and breathable. The padded zone is soft, with a density of 100 kg/m3 (6 lb/ft3) and a thickness of 13 mm (1/2"). Perforated fabric actively wicks away perspiration. The pad keeps you comfortable on rides of up to 2 hours.
Shape
The shape of the padded zones was defined by tests on a sheet of pressure, designed from a dummy moulding and approved after various trials and usage tests. These tests, conducted on real cyclists, involved measuring the pressure points on the saddle. The padded zone covers contact points where pressure is greater. There is a dart at the front for a better fit.
Reinforced areas
The ischium bone and the perineum are covered and protected. The reinforced area between the legs is relatively narrow to prevent irritation from rubbing while pedalling. Channels have been embossed into the reinforcements to provide greater flexibility.
Care instructions
Machine wash at 30°C. Wash on a synthetics cycle. Turn the garment inside out. Do not add fabric softener. Hang to dry in a warm, well-ventilated area. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not add bleach. Do not place on a heater to dry.
