You surf intensively—it’s your favourite sport. You paddle out to the line-up, duck-dive under the breaking waves if you are on a shortboard, or turtle-roll if you are on a longboard. You show no fear in waves of more than one metre. You can surf any type of wave. Our range was designed for your intensive surfing and body type.

You are an advanced surfer

To get the most out of your wetsuit, it’s important to choose the right size. A surfing wetsuit should fit snugly and have no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the diving suit gets wet, as the neoprene loosens in water. We strongly recommend that you try it on in-store before buying.

Choosing a size

The first factor to consider when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies depending on the location and time of year. Keep these guidelines in mind: Water warmer than 20°C.
Water between 17 and 22°C.
Water between 12 and 17°C.
Water between 7 and 12°C.

How to choose the right diving suit? Part 1

The second thing to consider is the length of your sessions. Our 100 models are suitable for sessions of up to 1 hour. For 1–2 hours, opt for a 500 wetsuit; for 2–3 hours, go for a 900. Wetsuits with a higher model number are warmer, more watertight, and better at reducing irritation and fatigue. The same is true for the 900 models, compared with the 500 models.
Note: The 900 models are easier to put on.

How to choose the right diving suit? Part 2

The Olaian 900 wetsuit range offers a style and material specifically chosen to facilitate paddling and freedom of movement. 
The entire diving suit is made from ultra-stretch neoprene. All the seams are stretch seams. This wetsuit has no back zip for full range of movement while swimming.

Material

When you’re in the water, more than half your body heat is lost through your extremities (feet, hands, head). To stay warm, consider these accessories:

- In water > 17°C: Low neoprene shoes.
- In water between 12 and 17°C: High-cut booties and gloves.
- In water between 7 and 12°C: High boots, gloves, hood, and hooded top.
