- A large waterproof fold is positioned below the zip to keep it dry and to facilitate water evacuation
- Large rip-tab fastenings are positioned at the lower legs so you can adjust the width of your overalls.
- The overalls go up above the chest to help keep water out.

Waterproofing

To find out if a fabric is breathable, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat transfer (RET). Breathability is a fabric’s ability to let the body’s perspiration escape.. The lower the RET, the easier it is for perspiration to pass through the fabric.
This product’s RET is 25.

The overalls have extra padding on the knees and seat for added comfort during manoeuvres. The seat padding is removable.

The right-side cargo pocket features a handy loop to clip your gear (knife, camera, shackle key, etc.). Use it to keep your equipment secure while at sea!

Weight

The fabric and fastenings are water-repellent.
A fabric is water-repellent when water slides off the surface without seeping in.
It remains lightweight and breathable. The fabric’s water-repellent coating can become less effective over time.
You can restore the garment’s water-repellent properties by running it through the dryer for 10 minutes at the lowest temperature.

Water repellency

After use, rinse the jacket thoroughly with clean water, paying attention to the zips, to remove any salt.
Dry on a clothes hanger in a well-ventilated area.
We recommend laying your garment flat on a clothes rack to dry. Warning: Never dry your jacket directly on a radiator.


Washing your overalls

Close all zippers and flaps, loosen the straps and drawstrings, and empty the pockets.
Turn the garment inside out and wash.

Reactivating water repellency Step 1

Wash overalls on a synthetic cycle at 30° or 40°C with your usual detergent. Don’t use fabric conditioner or bleach, as these could damage the material’s water-repellent coating.
Do not fold the overalls too much when placing them in the washing machine; do not overload machine.
Very important: Run a full rinse cycle or extra rinse to remove all detergent residue.

Reactivating water repellency Step 2

Drying is a crucial phase in restoring the water-repellent treatment.
Lay overalls flat on a clothes rack and leave them to air-dry. Caution: never dry your overalls directly on a radiator.
Next, put your garment in the dryer and run a short synthetics cycle (10–15 min.) before turning it right-side-out. Caution: do not over-dry.
