The NCR CF range

The Neo Racer Carbon Frame bike is our most all-round bike but still retains a strong focus on performance. It's part of the Race range, with a sporty style that's sure to appeal to performance-oriented cyclists. Whether you're a beginner or an old hand, you'll love what this bike has to offer. Every bike in the NCR range is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes to guarantee progressive braking in all weather conditions.

An all-round bike

This bike is the perfect partner for getting into competitions from a young age (size XXS) or for taking part in your first triathlons. It has a big clearance that lets you mount tires measuring up to 35 mm so you can explore the trails near your home.

A closer look at the frame

100% carbon frame and fork. Carbon makes this bike lighter, more rigid and more energetic. We've also chosen to have a carbon fork for more direct, precise control. The NCR CF's painted frame weighs 1200 g (42 1/3 oz.) in size M and the fork weighs 413 g (14 1/2 oz.). Frame clearance: there's enough clearance to mount up to 35 mm tires. Important: with 38 mm tires, there's a great risk of damaging the paintwork.

Cockpit

The NCR CF's cockpit is made entirely from aluminum, with a Van Rysel oversize stem and handlebar. The stem size depends on the frame size: XXS: 60 mm (2 1/3") XS: 70 mm (2 3/4") S: 80 mm (3 1/5") M: 90 mm (3 1/2") Handlebar width (edge-edge): XXS, XS: 380 mm (15") S, M: 400 mm (15 3/4")

Shimano drive train

The NCR CF Tiagra comes with the full Shimano Tiagra (4700) groupset. The total weight of the groupset with disc brakes is 3350 g (118 oz.). This groupset gives you precise, reliable gear changes. It also comes with hydraulic disc brakes. The handles are thin and compact, with the ergonomics optimised so that you can easily reach the levers. (R4720 shifters) It comes with all of Shimano's latest-generation groupset technology.

Gearing

This bike comes with a Shimano Tiagra (FC 4700) 48/34 double chainring. The 48t ring gives you a higher cadence and lets you stay in the middle of the cassette for longer. 10-speed cassette (CS-HG500-10) with the following increments: 11-12-14-16-18-20-22-25-28-32 If you want to change the cassette, the derailleur can take up to 34t. (RD 4700 GS) Chain: KMC TW X10 Crank length according to size: XXS / XS : 165 mm (6 1/2") S: 170 mm (6 2/3") M: 172.5 mm (6 4/5") L/XL: 175 mm (7")

Drive train maintenance

Please note that it is important to regularly service your drive train, especially if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads). Regular maintenance will help your drive train to last for longer. You should regularly check your chain with our chain wear indicator, which is available on our website.

Drive train lifespan

When buying a bike, it's important to take into account the cost of servicing it, especially the drive train. We have provided estimates based on average lifespans below to give you a general idea of what to expect. These will of course vary depending on the care you take of your drive train. The average lifespan of a well-maintained chain is 5000 km (3100 mi). The average lifespan of a cassette is 10,000-12,000 km (6200-7500 mi). A poorly maintained chain can jump, potentially damaging your bike's frame.

Disc brakes

Shimano Tiagra disc brakes with 160 mm (6 1/3") rotors at the front and back. The Shimano Tiagra brakes are hydraulic. This gives you progressive, more powerful braking than with cable-actuated brakes. You will need to bed these brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h [12 mi/h]), then repeat at 30 km/h (19 mi/h). Make sure to bed in both brakes. Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.

Hydraulic brake maintenance

Hydraulic brakes function using a closed circuit between your brake lever and your caliper. There is a hose to maintain the seal. With time, you'll see a normal loss of pressure in your hoses, leading to a loss of braking efficiency. When your brake guard is too soft, or you stop short against your handlebar, you need to bleed your system. This requires specific tools and knowledge.

Warning and Adjustment

Please Note:Never squeeze the brakes without a wheel being attached, as you could get the brake pads stuck together. If the rotor is touching the pads, here's how to realign the wheel and caliper: - Loosen the wheel axle - Brake hard and tighten the axle at the same time - If the rotor is still touching the brakes, do the same thing and loosen the caliper - If you're unable to resolve the issue, please visit one of our workshops.

Mavic wheels

New Mavic Aksium wheels 12 x 100 front axle 12 x 142 rear axle

Hutchinson perf black tire

Size:700 x 28 C The new ElevenStorm® rubber meets the five main performance criteria for a high-end tire: grip, rolling performance, durability, puncture resistance and comfort. This version offers a perfect balance for cyclists who want to go faster and farther. When combined with a Kevlar® strip under the tread, it lets you ride with peace of mind and is rated to last for over 4,000 km (2,500 mi). Tubeless ready.

Tubeless or inner tube

We recommend switching your tires to tubeless using the tubeless valve that comes with this bike. Tubeless is more comfortable and more efficient, and the tires can self-repair when you get small punctures. Of course, you should always carry an inner tube in your repair kit, just in case your tire gets a slightly bigger puncture.

Position

Van Rysel aluminum seat post, 27.2 mm (1") diameter XXS, XS: 250 mm (10") S, M: 350 mm (13 3/4") Van Rysel women's saddle

Pedals

Sold without pedals.

Sizing

Please refer to the bike frame geometry table. If you're between sizes, a shorter bike is better if you want something more responsive and lively. However, if you want to be comfortable when riding long distances, the bigger size is your best bet.

Maximum weight:

This bike has been tested for a maximum load of 110 kg [245 lbs] (cyclist + equipment).
