The principle of a self-inflating mattress
A self-inflating mattress is made of an airtight envelope glued to an open cell foam in which the air circulates. When unfolded, the mattress fills with air, returning to its original shape and thickness (8 cm/3” for the Ultim Comfort). You will have to blow it up the rest of the way to your preferred pressure level. Self-inflation is more or less noticeable depending on the thickness of the mattress.
Directions for use
Unroll your mattress as soon as you set up camp. Leave the valve open to make pre-inflation easier. A self-inflating mattress inflates itself to about 80%. You will need to blow up the rest yourself, so you can adjust the pressure to your desired level of comfort.

A new standard has been used since early 2020 to assess the level of insulation of your mattress: standard ASTM F3340-18. It measures the mattress’s capacity to retain or return body heat in order to avoid heat loss and provide thermal comfort. The foam provides thermal insulation. ver that you CAN NOT patch this mattress, middle of the night I got up to use the washroom and when I got back I didnt realize a small plastic clip had made it's way under the mattress and when I stepped on the mattress it made two small holes....not to worry i bought a spare patch kit, it doesnt hold air anymore. For over 250 dollars I'd say stay far away from this mattress and look into a cot setup or a different brand l

J'ai acheté mon matelas en avril 2022. J'adoré mon matelas les 2 premières années de leur utilisation. Super confortable, je pouvais dormir plusieurs jours de suite dessus sans problème. À ma grande déception, à ma première utilisation cette année, j'ai remarqué que mon matela
s se gonfle tout seul dans sa housse et se dégonfle presque entièrement quand on y dort. On va donc dormir sur le sol pour encore 4 jours.. Très décue, je vais devoir retourner mon matelas chez décathlon. Dommage, car j'ai fait acheter ce matelas à un ami. J'espère que le sien fonctionnera mieux que le mien.
