How do these pants keep my child warm?

We also incorporated a wadding lining and soft, warm fleece into these pants. The synthetic fleece is as warm and insulating as wool but more lightweight. Soft and comfortable, quick-drying and breathable. The fleece’s texture traps air to keep kids’ bodies warm with natural insulating power.

Should my child wear tights under their pants?

These pants have wadding and a fleece lining. That means your child doesn’t need to wear tights with them, as this can make your child too hot.

Do the pants have gaiters to keep snow out of my child’s boots?

We integrated gaiters at the cuffs to keep snow out. Plus, the elastic at the bottom of the gaiters goes around your child’s shoe or boot to ensure the pants do not ride up.

How do these pants protect from outdoor conditions?

These pants are designed with a waterproof outer fabric that keeps out water and wind (before washing: 5,000 mm/Schmerbers for the main component). To stay warm in winter, you must also protect your extremities (head, hands, feet).

Are these pants 100% waterproof?

The waterproofing of a fabric is measured in Schmerbers or mm (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric. This product has a waterproof fabric resistant to 5,000 mm or Schmerbers before washing.

What does “100% taped seams” mean?

For comfort and peace of mind, the seams of these pants are waterproof. They are totally waterproof. The waterproofing is verified by conducting a test that replicates the conditions of a two-hour rain shower. Waterproof, heat-sealed strips ensure seams are watertight. Applied behind the seams, these heat-sealed strips make the pants waterproof by preventing water seepage.

Windproof

In winter, protection from both moisture (snow, rain) and wind is important, because wind can significantly cool the body. The waterproof coating means these pants qualify as windproof.

Will these pants withstand the intensity of your child’s activities?

Reinforced fabric inserts on the knees and seat let children freely explore the world. Abrasion and friction resistance tests on the various components ensure their effectiveness. The Martindale test measures a fabric’s abrasion resistance. A machine rubs a sample of the fabric on a reference surface with a weight at the end.

How do I choose the right clothing for hiking in the snow?

Whatever your cold-weather activity, use the 3-layer technique: Layer 1: A high-tech base layer to wick moisture away from the body and keep your skin dry. Layer 2: Fleece provides warmth and wicks away moisture. Layer 3: Pants to protect against the elements (rain, snow, and wind). To eliminate moisture, the whole outfit must be breathable.
