Fogging

The seal of swimming goggles depends on the silicone skirt correctly fitting the shape of your face. 
Before purchase, we advise you to do the "suction" test without the strap. 
If the goggles stay on the face by themselves with a little suction, the product will be watertight during your swim. This also enables you to spot any areas of discomfort or annoyance when the model is on the face.

How to adjust your goggle

We recommend: 
- rinsing your goggles (only if necessary) by simply dipping them in water

- storing the goggles in their case after each session to prevent damage to the lenses (on the inner surface as there is an anti-fog coating and on the outer surface to prevent scratches)
- not exposing them to temperatures of over 60°C

Water can seep underneath, especially around the ears. This cap protects from splashing.

How waterproof is a swim cap?

Fabric Composition: Made of a swimsuit type fabric that is easy to get on/off without pulling at your hair. Finishing seams around the head to ensure that the cap remains in place.

Coated fabric:
A comfortable mesh cap. It is coated with a layer of silicone that reduces leaks and elasticity, and provides a close fit.

Silicone: 
Silicone is less comfortable but highly elastic to guarantee a close fit and prevent water from leaking into the cap.

How to Choose Swim Cap Material 

The silicone cap is very stretchy and resistant to stretching, but it is sensitive to snags. So be careful when putting it on, especially with nails and barrettes.

Fogging is mainly due to the temperature difference between the body and the water.
As the body is warmer than the practice environment, fogging occurs on the inside of the lenses through evaporation.
As a result, every micro-drop of perspiration will stick to the inside of the goggles.

In fact, it’s a bit of luck: all these drops will eventually combine to create a film of water through which you can see clearly.

Why do my swimming goggles fog up?

The anti-fog treatment creates a microscopic film of water to allow clear vision, but its wear is accelerated by rubbing inside the lenses or over-exposure to chlorinated water. Taking care of the inside of your glasses is essential.

Over time, it is normal for the anti-fog effect to diminish. Briefly soaking the glasses in water may help in the short term, but can also accelerate the wear of the treatment. Our anti-fog marker reactivates the treatment!

The anti-fog treatment

Available in size S (children and small heads) and size L (large heads).

The watertightness of the glasses depends on the fit of the silicone skirts to the shape of the face. 
Before buying your glasses, we recommend that you carry out the "suction cup" test without the elastic band. Are there other types of swim caps?

S, M, L, 1 size… Which to choose? 

The choice is rather simple: fabric and coated mesh caps come in different sizes (S, M, L) whereas silicone caps come in 1 size because they are very stretchy.

Consult this guide based on head size:
- XS: 50-52 cm. (available in the baby section)
- S: 53-56 cm.
- M: 56-59 cm.
- L: 59-62 cm.
- 1 size: from 53 to 62 cm.

How to choose the right swim cap size?

Did you know? There's a right and wrong way to wear a swim cap!

Mesh caps have a central band designed to run from front to back. For silicone swimming caps, the fold line (visible when the cap is laid flat) goes in the same direction as the others.

Place both hands together inside the cap. Spread hands (and fingers) to create space, then put the cap on.

At the front, it should sit about a finger's width above the eyebrows.

How to Put on Swim Cap

There are 2 main reasons. 

Firstly, wearing a cap shows respect for the swimming area. By securing hair, water and equipment remain clean, ensuring a certain level of hygiene in the pool or body of water. 

Secondly, also for personal protection! A cap protects hair from damage from the water, chlorine (or other chemicals) and salt (or other impurities).

This marker was developed to reactivate the anti-fogging treatment for goggles and to prolong their lifetime.

1) Apply to your lenses (ensure they are completely dry)
2) Leave to dry for at least 1 minute
3) Immerse the goggles in water to spread the product 

Re-apply on average every 1 to 3 sessions, depending on the frequency at which fog reappears. 400 applications on average.
If goggles fog up, dip them in the water again, a protective film will reform to allow swimming in good conditions.

How to use

Do not use on new goggles, the new anti-fog treatment can be damaged or can scratch the lenses.
Never touch the inside of the lenses - Do not rub them.
If goggles are rubbed before applying the product, the product may not work properly.
