To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule:- Layer 1, a base layer to keep you dry. - Layer 2, an insulating layer to keep you warm. - Layer 3, a protective layer against the elements.
How is fabric waterproofing measured?
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of the water column (measured in mm) that the fabric can withstand (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Thanks to its 8000mm waterproofness the fabric of the 500 Warm jacket resists the pressure exerted by 8000mm of water. For skiing, we recommend components between 3000 mm and 10,000 mm.
How is the water resistance of a jacket measured?
We lab-test each of our products to validate its waterproofing value.How do we carry out this test?We fit the jacket on a mannequin that spends a few hours under a shower. Using this test, we can confirm that the jacket protects you from snowfall or a light rain shower of 6 cm in one hour.
How is comfort temperature measured?
We lab test our products to provide you with a comfort indicator. The comfort indicator is measured without tights for pants, and with a thermal T-shirt and a fleece for jackets. The temperature indicated is the external temperature at which the testers were neither warm nor cold. Of course, the perceived temperature varies depending on the intensity of the activity and each individual’s metabolism.
How do I wash my child's ski jacket?
To optimize your product’s performance and durability, we recommend: *Machine wash at 30°C on a synthetics cycle. Turn the product inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. Do not use fabric softener. *Spin between 800 and 1,200 rpm. *Dry flat or tumble dry. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator or heat source.
