Frame designed for mountain biking
Our engineers designed a new sturdy steel frame. The frame’s rear chainstays are short so the bike is responsive and easy to handle.
Why did we design a brake lever especially for kids?
Because children have smaller hands than adults, it's not always easy for them to get a hold of the brake lever. This is why our engineers designed a brake lever that is closer to the handlebars and thus easier to hold.The brake lever is plastic.
Shifting gears (6 speeds)
This bike is equipped with a grip shifter (MS40) for changing between the 6 speeds: a system that is both safer and easier because the child doesn't have to let go of the handlebar. This makes shifting gears to match the terrain simple and easy!
Controlled braking
Two V-brake pads for effective braking. These brakes are composed of calipers that exert more or less pressure on the rim to slow down or stop the rotation of the wheels.
Reinforced, ergonomic saddle
A sporty saddle specially designed for kids. It’s equipped with a plastic cover at the back (bumper) to protect against any impacts.
Riding position
When mountain biking, it’s important to control your path. To make it easier for children to learn, our engineers installed a handlebar and stem that are combined into a single steering block. This eliminates the need for adjustments so they can keep their eyes on the trail!
Crankset
The new chainset has a 140 mm (5 1/2") crank that’s designed for children’s leg length. This chainset lets you start pedalling more easily. The crank is covered to prevent the child from coming into contact with the metal parts. The double chainguard prevents the chain from derailing.
20” wheels and mountain bike tires
The 20 x 1.95 tires are designed for mountain biking. The recommended tire pressure is indicated on the side of the tire (2 to 3.5 bars). 20" inner tube and 1 4/5" to 2 1/5" (47 to 56 mm) Schrader valve.
Mountain bike fittings
This MTB is equipped with a kickstand, a bell, wheel and pedal reflectors, and front and rear reflectors. The frame is also compatible with other Btwin accessories: -front and rear mudguards -bottle holder -bike bags -training wheels
