How waterproof is it?

Take on the rain with our hiking jacket! Its 15,000 mm water (Schmerber) waterproof fabric keeps you dry, under medium to heavy rain. Performance approved by the JIS standard.

What are Schmerbers?

The Schmerber rating measures the waterproofing ability of a fabric. The higher the number, the drier you stay. Our jacket displays 15,000 mm water (Schmerber): it can resist the pressure exerted by a 15 m column of water.

What is a membrane?

The membrane: It’s a shield against the rain! The membrane keeps rain out while letting perspiration escape. The result? You stay dry both inside and out. The membrane is only bonded to the outer fabric of this two-layer jacket.

How do you wash this hiking jacket?

Close the zippers and turn the jacket inside out. Machine wash at 30°C. To avoid detergent residue, use a bit less detergent (for waterproof clothing, if possible) than usual and do a second rinse. Wring the jacket at little as possible to avoid damaging it.

How to restore water repellency

3 methods: - Dry for 15 minutes in a tumble dryer to reactivate the water-repellent treatment - Wash with our detergent for technical waterproof fabrics and use a water repellency reactivating after-wash - Use a water repellency reactivator spray
