Can you add training wheels? Yes, if your child needs them. Our Btwin 16" stabilisers are compatible with this model. 
It's good to know that according to several studies, apprentice cyclists will more easily and quickly switch to a bicycle if they master balance in balance bike mode (without pedals). 
Ideally, children should learn to balance on a balance bike first, or a progressive 2-in-1 balance bike (like our 14" Discover 500 and 900).

To learn how to ride a bike easily, we advise against bikes that are too big. At Decathlon, we take care to recommend the right sizes to help you choose the right bike. 
Recommendation: Consider hiring a bike! If your child is still a little bit short for the bike you had in mind, but they're eager to learn, we recommend hiring a smaller bike until they grow.
