Our Stop Easy system makes braking easier and provides a comfortable grip. For more natural movement, the brake lever is pressed parallel to the handlebars. Adjusting brakes has always been a bit tricky for parents. The P-Nut Brake is guaranteed not to slip! And if the brake caliper were to be knocked and cause the brake adjustment to slip, it can be adjusted on one side. In-store assembly available.

Training wheel information

Can you add training wheels? Yes, if your child needs them. Our Btwin 16" stabilisers are compatible with this model. It's good to know that according to several studies, apprentice cyclists will more easily and quickly switch to a bicycle if they master balance in balance bike mode (without pedals). Ideally, children should learn to balance on a balance bike first, or a progressive 2-in-1 balance bike (like our 14" Discover 500 and 900).

CHOOSING A LEARNER BIKE

To learn how to ride a bike easily, we advise against bikes that are too big. At Decathlon, we take care to recommend the right sizes to help you choose the right bike. Recommendation: Consider hiring a bike! If your child is still a little bit short for the bike you had in mind, but they're eager to learn, we recommend hiring a smaller bike until they grow.
