What is a membrane?
Thanks to its membrane, this jacket combines waterproofing and moisture wicking. The 3-layer design incorporates the membrane between the outer fabric and the interior, offering enhanced durability and reliable performances for all your hikes.
Why use a ripstop fabric?
The drawback of waterproof jackets is often their lack of breathability. They keep you dry on the outside, but damp on the inside. To avoid this, this jacket uses breathable fabric and has large side openings for better humidity evacuation.
What is a RET index?
The thermal evaporative resistance (RET) defines the breathability of the fabric. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric: - RET < 6: very breathable - RET ≤ 12: breathable - RET ≤ 20: low breathability With a RET of 6, this jacket guarantees good humidity evacuation during physical efforts.
How to wash your jacket
Do up the zips, turn the jacket inside out, and machine-wash it at 30°C. Use a smaller dose of detergent (preferably one specifically for waterproof clothing) to avoid residues. Rinse and gently wring out to protect the jacket.
How to restore water repellency
3 methods: - Dry the jacket in a tumble dryer for 15 minutes. This can reactivate the water-repellent treatment of the fabric. - Use our detergent for technical products then apply the water repellency reactivator. - Use the water repellency reactivator spray.
