We created these high-waisted ALMA briefs in a textured fabric so that young surfer girls can surf without worrying about losing their swimsuit in the waves.

Body type

Our swimsuits are designed to stay in place in the waves. Our suits are tested by a panel of female surfers with different body types. They’re first tested in a pool under simulated surfing conditions, then worn during real sessions in the ocean.

Stays in place in the waves

At Decathlon, we design swimsuits for young surfers based on growth. For this reason, a child’s size is typically associated with their height, not their age. as kids of the same age can have completely different measurements. We also recommend trying the swimsuits on if possible.

Girls' swimsuit sizes

Here is the size guide for our girls’ swimsuits:
Age 8/9: 133 to 142 cm
Age 10/11: 143 to 150 cm
Age 12/13: 151 to 160 cm
Age 14/15: 161 to 169 cm

Girls’ swimsuit sizes

To ensure a perfect fit in the water, it is important to choose the right size while you are dry because once they are in the water, swimsuits become looser. We therefore recommend you buy the correct size. Your swimsuit should fit snugly when you try it on in the fitting room. Keep in mind that the elastane in some of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

Dry sizing and wet sizing

Are you unhappy with the size or style? Would you like to exchange it at your Decathlon store? No problem, just be sure not to cut off the tag in case you want to exchange it.
