UV protection standards for hats are very specific. The fabric must be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 50), but this isn’t enough to claim that the finished product is anti-UV. The hat must also have a wide brim and flap that fully protects the face and the back of the neck (7 cm/2.7”)

How many pockets do these long shorts have?

To look after your shorts, it couldn't be simpler. Machine-wash at 30°C max. on a normal cycle. Close the zippers and turn them inside out. Their breathable fabric dries quickly.

What accessories are available for the MT 500 Hiking Pants?

These pants have water-repellent inserts (front of leg, seat) so water slides off the fabric’s surface. This product is water-repellent, not waterproof.

The water repellency prevents the pants from getting wet too quickly. However, this won’t be enough to keep you dry if you’re in steady rain. For intense rain, you will need a pair of rain pants like the MT 500 Hiking Pants (ref. 8736465).

Water repellency can be reactivated using a water-repellent spray (ref. 8800346).

At Decathlon, we don't just consider the intrinsic quality of the component (in this instance, a fabric with a 20,000 Schmerbers rating) but we also test the waterproof qualities of the finished product in an environmental chamber reproducing different precipitation levels. 
This hat will protect you from a 12 cm rain shower for 2 hours (60 L of water per hour/m²): quite the downpour!
