What is Outdoor Contact© grip?

Our boots undergo an intensive test in the lab to guarantee their waterproofing. They are immersed and folded up in water up to a certain level, replicating real-life hiking conditions. This test ensures that your feet will stay dry for at least 2 hours, even in rainy or wet conditions.

How do we test waterproofing?

When walking in the forest, on the coast or on the daily, your feet are put through numerous constraints. Rubbing boots can be unpleasant, especially when you’re sweating, but the cold can be really lead to an uncomfortable hike if you don’t have adequate protection.

Why choose a good pair of socks?

A waterproof boot will always be less breathable than a non-waterproof boot. That's why the Hike 500 Mid and Hike 900 Mid mid-length socks are designed to wick away sweat and reduce chafing for this pair of boots.

Our hiking shoes are designed for use on hiking trails. The components of the soles and uppers are selected and tested to ensure that they are suitable for hiking on soft trails (e.g., dirt paths in forests) and stony trails (rocky coastal hiking trails). Wearing them on paved roads could cause premature wear and discomfort. They’re not suitable for mountain hiking.

Resistant soles for walking trails

We conducted tests on various elements of the shoes, including tear resistance of eyelets and straps, bonding, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, and accelerated aging.
We use a variety of tests to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear for our hiking shoes.

Tested for optimal durability

You can wear these sandals without socks. However, if you do want to wear socks, we recommend a polyamide, cotton-free pair. Polyamide fibre has moisture-wicking properties.
