Pants with 2 different components: 
- durable fabric (207 g/m²) on the areas that need protection from abrasion (seat, bottom of the leg at the front). This fabric is also stretchy for freedom of movement. It has undergone a water-repellent treatment.

- lightweight, breathable fabric (150 g/m²) on the rest of the pants.

Dual-component structure

These pants have water-repellent zones (lower leg and seat) that prevent water from seeping through the fabric. This product is water-repellent, not waterproof.
The water-repellent pants don’t get wet too fast, but they won’t keep you dry in pouring rain. To restore the water repellent property, tumble dry on low heat for 10 minutes.

Wool fibres can store a lot of air and let water vapour escape, making wool an excellent choice for moisture management and thermal regulation. Wool’s ability to store and release moisture make it an insulating, comfortable material for hiking socks.

The properties of wool

The merino wool, from Spain, has been a carefully selected breed for generations because of its wool. It provides a softer fibre than traditional wool. After shearing, the wool is cleaned to remove impurities, then carded, spun, and finally used for knitting or weaving.

What is merino wool?

Merino wool offers an unbeatable experience: soft, lightweight, and breathable. Thanks to its fine fibres, it provides natural thermal regulation. It keeps your feet warm in cool weather and cool in warm weather.

What are the benefits of merino wool?

To stay warm when hiking in the winter, we recommend: 
- Warmth: wear warm socks (ideally with a good percentage of wool). 
- Breathability: choose socks based on the intensity of the hike and, to minimize moisture, make sure they’re breathable.
- Boot height: the height of your socks should correspond to the height of the boot: for more protection, choose higher socks.

Fleece with large plush loops called "brushed fleece" can trap air. The natural insulating power keeps body heat in. The additional benefit of this fleece: its high collar keeps the neck warm.

Why does a fleece keep you warm?

We carry out 2 types of thermal testing:
On the fleece materials and with a thermal mannequin in a climate chamber. The comfort of this sweater is between 7 and 10°C.

How is warmth measured?

The fleece is equipped with a breathable component. It can effectively wick away perspiration while keeping you warm. This means you stay dry and comfortable even during intense exercise.

Why make a breathable fleece?

This fleece jacket has a fitted cut without being too tight. For optimal protection from the cold, we recommend wearing a technical base layer underneath. It is worn under our windproof and waterproof jackets. Choose your usual size.
