Volume and folded size

R-value measures thermal insulation. It indicates how much heat a material retains or allows to escape.
The higher the R-value, the better the insulation.
R-value can be increased: stack two mattresses to combine their R-values.

All our mattresses are tested to ASTM F3340-18 standards.

What is R-value? 

R-value from 0 to 1.9: Hot season (summer) 
R-value from 2 to 3: 2- or 3-season (spring/summer/fall)
 R-value from 3 to 4: 4-season
 R-value of 4.5 and higher: suitable for use all year round, including freezing conditions.

What R-value do you need?

Use with the aluminized side up and the foam side against the ground for optimal insulation.
This lightweight mat is unusually comfortable because the foam is moulded to provide depth and support. Though only 2 cm thick, the mat is supportive and comfortable.

What items are included in the cook set?

We chose 18/8 (304) stainless steel because it combines food safety and long-term durability. It doesn’t rust and prevents corrosion. It’s very strong and can be used with all types of utensils (including metal). 

What is the cookset made of?

Polyamide (cutlery), polypropylene (plate and handle), and Tritan (lid) were chosen because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 100°C), impact, and warping.
All our plastics in contact with food are BPA-free.
Make sure plastic parts are not in direct contact with flames.

How did we choose the coating for our cooksets?

Our cooksets are compatible with all types of burners (wood, gas, induction, etc.). 
The saucepan has a patented 2-part folding handle that locks the lid during transport.
The lid fits the saucepan, helps heat food faster, and serves as a strainer.


What you also need to know

The items are stored inside the cookset. First the 2 soup plates then the cutlery which can be clipped together.  
The lid then locks in place with the folding handle.
The bowl and cutlery are also sold separately.

How to store your cookset

Before the first use, rinse all the items three times with clean water.
All the items are dishwasher safe, and when used outside they can be washed with soapy water or with water and sand!If the underside of your saucepan is marked, you can use a spiral scourer (stainless steel metal) to clean it. This type of scourer is readily available in any shop.

How to clean and maintain your cookset

Never heat your saucepans empty as this will deform and damage them.
When using with a wood fire, make sure that the flames do not come into direct contact with the plastic parts.
Lock the handle properly before using the cookset on the fire.

What to avoid doing with your cooking set

All our products and materials meet current standards and materials in contact with food do not contain Bisphenol A (BPA).
