Fleece material: Insulates with air
The brushed fleece component is designed to trap air. This air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm.
Component durability
We conduct lab tests to ensure the highest durability standards: tested for its resistance to friction that causes pilling, colourfastness, and aging to ensure that repeated washing does not alter the fabric’s properties, performance, thickness, or appearance.
Component breathability
To assess the fabric’s breathability or the evaporative resistance, RET (test based on the ISO 11092 standard) is measured. The lower the fabric’s resistance, the more perspiration evaporates and the more breathable the fabric. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric/9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric/12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric/RET > 20 = little or no breathability

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont Blanc in Haute-Savoie, France. This location is a real meeting place for our teams and outdoor sports enthusiasts. It’s the perfect spot for designing our mountain hiking products.
Where do our fleeces come from?
Created in our international design centre at the foot of the Mont Blanc in France, this product is then manufactured and assembled by our suppliers in China, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. We collaborate closely with these partners who have specialist knowledge in fleece manufacturing. Thanks to this relationship of trust with our industrial partners, we can create high-quality technical products.
Working conditions in our production workshops
We guarantee that our suppliers comply with our code of conduct. These suppliers are often located in developing countries where our presence helps create jobs. By conducting audits and having teams on site, we make sure that the working environment of the employees meets certain quality standards in terms of human respect and personal fulfilment.
