Effective as of November 3, 2025
These General Terms and Conditions govern all DECATHLON accounts created in Canada (each an "Account"). Accounts are offered and administered by DECATHLON CANADA INC. and its related entities, including the DECATHLON GROUP* (hereinafter "DECATHLON," "we," "us," or "our"). Any person with a DECATHLON Account in Canada (hereinafter the "Account Holder" or "you") must accept all of the General Terms and Conditions set out below, without reservation (hereinafter "General Terms").
*The DECATHLON GROUP includes DECATHLON SE and its related entities, such as companies and subsidiaries owned directly or indirectly by it, including DECATHLON CANADA INC. 1. General
1.1. Eligibility. To open a DECATHLON Account in Canada, you must be an individual, reside in Canada, have reached the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, and have a valid email address. The Account is for personal use only. Holders of DECATHLON accounts created abroad must open an Account in Canada to enjoy the benefits set out in these General Terms.
1.2. Account Creation. You can open a free DECATHLON Account at any DECATHLON store in Canada or online at https://www.decathlon.ca/en/signin. To enjoy all Account benefits, you must agree to receive our promotional communications and provide us your first name, last name, date of birth, email, mailing address, and phone number. You may choose to create your DECATHLON Account using the "Social Login" feature. To use this feature, you must authorize Facebook, Google, or Apple to share your first name, last name, and email address with DECATHLON.
1.3. Benefits. As an Account Holder, you automatically receive certain benefits, including access to your purchase history, an extended 365-day return policy, a free tune-up for your new bike within one year of purchase, free standard shipping on orders of $70 or more, and membership in the DECATHLON Loyalty Program (hereinafter the "Program"). By default, you will be considered a "Member" of the Program, unless you opt out as outlined in Article 2.14 of these General Terms. DECATHLON may supplement the benefits included in your Account through promotions or services offered by internal or external partners. These benefits may be subject to specific conditions.
1.4. Virtual Card. DECATHLON sends a virtual card to each Account Holder. It is strictly personal and cannot be used as a method of payment or shared with a third party. Any adult who resides at the same address as an Account Holder and wishes to receive benefits must create an Account. Consider your virtual card as your personal key to unlocking your exclusive benefits. The virtual card has a barcode and a 13-digit ID number that you must use when completing your purchases.
2. Loyalty Program
2.1. Member Status. Only DECATHLON Account Holders opened in Canada in accordance with these General Terms and registered in the Program are considered "Members" and may earn and exchange reward points (hereinafter "Points").
2.2. Eligible Purchase. For the purposes of applying the Point-earning methods, the term "Eligible Purchase" refers to the purchase of a product or service at a DECATHLON store in Canada or online at decathlon.ca by a Member using their virtual card. Purchases of gift cards, shipping and eco-fee payments, and portions of purchases made by redeeming Points earned through the Program are not Eligible Purchases.
2.3. Points-Earning Methods. Members earn 10 Points per Canadian dollar spent (including GST/QST/HST) on an Eligible Purchase, with no limit on the number of Points that can be earned. Members may also earn a limited number of Points by completing one or more eligible activities as defined in Section 2 of these General Terms.
2.4. Bonus Points for First Eligible Purchase. Members will receive 200 Bonus Points following their first Eligible Purchase. These Bonus Points are in addition to the Points accumulated per dollar of Eligible Purchase (clause 2.3) and can only be claimed once.
2.5. Recording Sports Activities. Members who wish to do so can claim 100 Points per week, up to a maximum of 5,200 Points per year, by recording at least 3 hours of sports activities on a connected app (Monday to Sunday). Members can synchronize their sports activities on their Account via Decathlon websites and apps, including, but not limited to, Decathlon Coach, Decathlon Connect, Domyos Econnected, Kiprun Pacer, Kinomap, or our partners' apps synchronized via the Decathlon Hub. Only sessions launched directly in real time on one of the eligible applications authorized by DECATHLON will be taken into account for earning Points under this article. No manually added sports activities (manual sessions) will be taken into account. The use of eligible applications is subject to specific terms and conditions and privacy policies. By linking the partner application to your Account, you will be able to choose which data will be synchronized. This information will only be collected and used for the purposes of administering your Account and the Program.
2.6. Online Reviews. We encourage our Members to share their honest and sincere opinions about our products. DECATHLON Members can earn 20 Points for each review submitted on decathlon.ca while logged into their Account, whether positive, negative, or neutral, up to a maximum of 100 Points per calendar year. As a DECATHLON Member, you agree that any review you submit is based on your personal and actual experience with the product. Points are awarded to recognize your contribution, not to influence the content or tone of your review.
2.7. Crediting Points to your Account. Unless otherwise stated in a promotion, your Points will be credited to your Account within two business days of your Eligible Purchase, the achievement of your sports activity goal, or the publication of your review. For Eligible Purchases on decathlon.ca, the two business day period begins when your order has been shipped in full. If you return an item for a refund, the Points corresponding to the refunded value will be deducted from your balance within two business days. If your Points balance becomes insufficient, it may become negative. If you believe there has been an error in the calculation of the Points you have received, please contact our customer service team.
2.8. Points Validity Period. Points earned are valid for 12 months from the date they are credited to your Account. However, DECATHLON may offer Points with a shorter validity period of at least 30 days as part of a promotion. We will notify you in writing when your Points are about to expire.
2.9. Exchanging Points. Members must exchange their Points online for promotional cards (hereinafter "Promotional Cards" or "Rewards") in accordance with the Reward caps and unlocking limits in effect. Earned Points cannot otherwise be transferred, cashed in, or sold. Promotional Cards are non-transferable and can be used to purchase DECATHLON products and services in-store or online. Once unlocked, each Promotional Card is valid for 30 days.
2.10. Rolling Period. For the purposes of applying Rewards caps (section 2.11) and Promotional Card unlocking limits (section 2.12), the term "30-Day Rolling Period" refers to any continuous window of 30 consecutive days, regardless of the calendar year. This means that when you attempt to unlock a Promotional Card, the system checks your redemption activity during the 30 days immediately preceding that attempt.
2.11. Reward Caps. The redemption and use of Points and Promotional Cards are subject to three strict limits:
2.11.1. The total number of Points a Member can redeem for Promotional Cards is limited to 13,000 Points over any 30-Day Rolling Period.
2.11.3. Members may not unlock more than fifty Canadian dollars ($50 CAD) in Promotional Cards over any 30-Day Rolling Period, in accordance with the unlocking limits set out in section 2.12 of these General Terms.
2.11.3. The total value of Promotional Cards applied in a single transaction in-store or online may not exceed fifty Canadian dollars ($50 CAD).
2.12. Unlocking Limits. Members may exchange their Points for Promotional Cards within the individual unlocking limits established per 30-Day Rolling Period. Members may redeem, at their discretion, a maximum of two CA$5 Promotional Cards (2,000 Points each), two CA$10 Promotional Cards (4,000 Points each) and one CA$15 Promotional Card (6,000 Points) per 30-Day Rolling Period.
2.13. Welcome Offer. Each Account Holder, upon first joining the Program, may claim a CA$5 Promotional Card in exchange for only 1,000 Points. This offer may only be claimed once and is not subject to the unlocking limits set out in clause 2.12.
2.14. Right to Opt Out of the Loyalty Program. You may opt out of the Loyalty Program at any time via the Communication Preferences tab in your Account. Opting out of the Program will result in the immediate and permanent deletion of all your earned Points and Rewards, but will not affect your other Account benefits.
3. Personal Information and Privacy
3.1. Collection and Use of Personal Information. DECATHLON uses the personal information collected in accordance with its privacy policy. By opening an Account and continuing to use it, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes of administering the Account and the Program. Any Account Holder may modify their personal information by logging into their DECATHLON Account from the "Profile" page. If you have any questions regarding the management of your personal information, please contact us using this form and selecting the "My Account" option.
3.2.Data Transfer. Given the location of DECATHLON and its subcontractors, it is possible that personal information collected for the purposes of the Account and the Program may be transferred, stored, retained, and processed outside your province, territory, or Canada. If this is the case, rest assured that we take into account the protections offered by the laws of these other jurisdictions, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, and use contractual measures to provide adequate protection for your personal information. DECATHLON's subcontractors act only on DECATHLON's instructions and do not use your data for any purpose other than to perform the services we entrust to them.
4.4 Promotional Communications
4.1. Preference Management. Any Account Holder may change their communication preferences by logging into their DECATHLON Account from the "Profile" page. 5. Modifications to the General Terms
5.1. Right to Modify. DECATHLON reserves the right to modify these General Terms at any time without notice or to terminate the Program without compensation. We invite you to read these General Terms regularly.
5.2. Notice in case of Substantial Modification. Any substantial modification to these General Terms will be subject to prior written notice to Account Holders, sent within a reasonable time. For changes that result in an increase in the Account Holder's obligations or a decrease in DECATHLON's obligations, the Account Holder may terminate their Account or membership in the Program (as applicable) without charge, penalty, or termination fee by sending written notice to DECATHLON no later than thirty (30) days after the change takes effect.
6. Fraudulent Use
6.1. Termination for Fraud. DECATHLON reserves the right to delete or block any Account when the Member fails to comply with these General Terms, or demonstrates abuse or fraudulent use of the Program. Termination for fraud will result in the immediate loss of all earned Points and Rewards.
6.2. Reporting. The Account Holder must notify DECATHLON of any fraudulent activity they notice on their Account without delay through its customer service team.
7. Account Deletion
7.1. Request for Deletion. If you wish to delete your Account, please note that you have two options: (a) unsubscribe from the Loyalty Program only (see Article 2.14 to retain the basic benefits of the Account) or (b) permanently delete your entire Account. If you choose to permanently delete your Account, you can request this in writing using this form by selecting the "My Account" option or by logging into your Account and clicking on "Manage my Decathlon Account," then "Privacy and Security," and then "Delete my Account."
7.2. Consequences of Deletion. Deleting your Account is the most definitive action; it automatically and irreversibly results in: the end of your membership in the Program, the immediate loss of all accumulated Points and Rewards, and the loss of all basic benefits.
7.3. Inactivity. DECATHLON reserves the right to delete any Account after a period of inactivity of 3 years, following the sending of a 3-month notice to the Account Holder. 8. Applicable Law
8.1. Applicable Law. These General Terms are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the province or territory of residence of the Account Holder and the federal laws applicable in Canada.
9. Limitation of Liability and Severability
9.1. Limitation of Liability. Except where prohibited by law (including in Quebec and Ontario), DECATHLON shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Account or the Program, even if DECATHLON has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In all circumstances and to the extent permitted by law, DECATHLON's maximum cumulative liability arising from the Account or the Program shall in no event exceed one hundred Canadian dollars ($100 CAD). This limitation does not apply to residents of provinces where the law does not allow the limitation of liability for fault or negligence, including residents of Quebec and Ontario.
9.2. Severability. If any provision of these General Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions herein. The remaining provisions of these General Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
