Diving Mask Type

- Hold the snorkel in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball should follow the movement without resistance.
- Check that the seal is present, in good condition and correctly installed.
- Check that all the valves are present, not deformed and are lying flat.
- Check the assembly of the mask and make sure that the skirt is correctly fitted on the frame and glass.
- Never use the mask without the snorkel.

Before each use, check your Easybreath, and especially your child's

If it fogs up over your eyes, we recommend repeating the 4 steps set out above, properly repositioning your Easybreath mask, and checking that the size of your Easybreath is correctly fitted to your face. If the issue continues, do not use the mask and contact your closest Decathlon store.

What if my mask is fogging up?

Snorkeling is an easy and fun activity for all the family! Breathing through a snorkel is more physically demanding than regular swimming. If you feel tired, short of breath or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water.
Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). If in doubt, consult your doctor.

The Easybreath 500 is an easy-to-use, full-face snorkeling mask designed by Decathlon. Same great features as the previous model: 180° vision, anti-fog, easy to put on. We’ve made this mask more robust, with a more comfortable skirt. It’s also 20% easier to breathe in. New innovative features: “Dry-top-release.” Now you can keep breathing when a wave washes over you.

What is Easybreath?

Easybreath: a mask that allows nose and mouth breathing, offering a wide field of vision and an anti-fog system through air circulation. Available for adults and children.

Easybreath + (540): in addition, an acoustic valve that allows you to speak more audibly at the surface, with your head above water (without having to remove your mask!)

Easybreath 900: a soft nose that lets you equalise the ears and allows you to descend to depths of up to 3 m. Don't stay on the surface, get down there!

Which Easybreath masks are available at Decathlon?

Fresh air is pushed towards the lens before it reaches the wearer’s nose and mouth, which helps keep the mask from fogging up.

The moisture- and CO₂-rich air is then pushed out through channels located inside the mask’s rim. The air is constantly renewed. By separating the flow of air going in and out of the mask, the wearer is always breathing in fresh air. Licensed under Ocean Reef Group.

How does the Easybreath work?

The mask uses Dry-top technology. This system was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface, in case of submersion or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. The snorkel has a float that rises to close the opening when it is immersed under the surface of the water. When this happens, remember to blow when the snorkel is taken out of the water to make sure that the float descends properly.

How the dry-top system stops water from entering

The air volume of the Decathlon snorkelling mask is much greater than what is held in a traditional mask.
One metre below the surface, the pressure of the mask becomes very uncomfortable. When freediving, pressure needs to be reduced, but this is not possible with the Easybreath because your nose is not accessible.

Can I dive with my Easybreath 500?

This full-face snorkeling mask is comfortable to wear and provides a wide field of vision. 
It’s ideal for people who want to observe the world underwater from the surface.

Why choose Easybreath over a traditional valve mask?

The Easybreath 500 mask comes in 2 sizes that fit 90% of adult faces. For smaller faces, choose S/M. For larger faces, choose size M/L.

To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask to ensure it fits against your face. There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask.

Choosing your Easybreath 500 mask size

Having a beard will prevent your mask’s skirt from fitting properly. If you have a beard, this mask may not be watertight. If you want to be sure no water will enter your mask, consider shaving. Alternatively, you might also try using a thick balm such as Vaseline.

Can I wear the Easybreath 500 if I have a beard?

You can repair your Easybreath mask to extend its lifespan. After-sales service is available at your local Decathlon store. Replacement parts (strap, cover, snorkel, valves) are all available online or in store.

Can my Easybreath 500 mask be repaired if it breaks?

Most glasses will distort the mask skirt and prevent a watertight seal. As a result, using this mask with glasses is not ideal.

Can I wear glasses with my Easybreath mask?

Watch out for sand! Keep your Easybreath mask away from sand to avoid scratching the lens. In the presence of sand, do not force the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask first. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Use a key that you can fit through the snorkel’s rear vents to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel thoroughly.
