- Hold the snorkel in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball should follow the movement without restriction 
- Check that the seal is in place, in good condition, and correctly positioned 
- Check that all of the valves are in placed, lying flat, and that they're not deformed
- Check the overall assembly of the mask and make sure that there are no defects in the assembly of the skirt on the frame or in the lens.
- Never use the mask without the snorkel

What if my mask is fogging up?

Snorkeling is an easy and fun activity for all the family! Breathing through a snorkel is more physically demanding than regular swimming. If you feel tired, short of breath or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water.
Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). If in doubt, consult your doctor.

Snorkeling safety

Easybreath + 540: in addition, an acoustic valve that allows you to speak more audibly at the surface, with your head above water (without having to remove your mask)!

What Easybreath are available at Decathlon?

The Easybreath+ 540 is the next generation full-face mask created by Decathlon. Same great features as the previous model: 180° vision, anti-fog, easy to put on. We’ve made this mask more robust, with a more comfortable skirt. It’s also 20% easier to breathe in. New innovative features: A valve that lets you communicate out of water and a “dry-top release” system that prevents your breathing from being cut off while underwater.

What is the Easybreath+ 540?

The valve on the front of the mask lets sound pass through so that you can talk to your snorkeling partners, even while you’re wearing your mask!
This aspect has been tested up to a distance of 3 m.

Simplified communication!

Fresh air is pushed towards the lens before it reaches the wearer’s nose and mouth, which helps keep the mask from fogging up.

The moisture- and CO2-rich air is then pushed out through channels located inside the mask’s rim. The air is constantly renewed. By separating the flow of air going in and out of the mask, the wearer is always breathing in fresh air.Licensed under Ocean Reef Group

How does the Easybreath work?

The mask uses Dry-top technology. This system was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface, in case of submersion or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. The snorkel is fitted with a float that rises to close the opening when the snorkel is submerged. When this happens, remember to take the snorkel out of the water and blow into the mask to make sure the buoy comes back down.

How the dry-top system stops water from entering

The Easybreath 540 can be repaired! After-sales service is available at your local Decathlon store. Replacement parts (strap, cover, snorkel, valves) are all available online or in store.

Can my Easybreath 540 mask be repaired if it breaks?

Decathlon’s Easybreath 540 snorkelling mask is not designed for diving. The air volume in the Subea Easybreath mask is more extensive than traditional diving masks. From just 1 m down, the pressure of the mask becomes very uncomfortable on your face. Freedivers also need to be able to decompress, which is impossible with this mask because the nose is not accessible.

Can I dive with my Easybreath 540?

Decathlon’s Easybreath mask is perfect for users who do not want to dive with a snorkel in their mouth or go deep. The Easybreath is ideal for shallow aquatic activities. It allows for natural nose-mouth breathing and a wide field of vision.

Why choose Easybreath over a traditional valve mask?

The Easybreath 540 mask comes in 2 sizes that fit 90% of adult faces. 

From age 10 and for small faces opt for size S/M. For bigger faces use M/L.To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask to ensure it fits against your face: There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask.

Choosing your Easybreath 540 mask size

Having a beard will prevent your mask’s skirt from fitting properly. The seal of this full face mask is therefore not guaranteed for bearded users. For a watertight seal, shaving is recommended. Alternatively, you might also try using a thick balm such as Vaseline.

Can I wear the Easybreath 540 if I have a beard?

Most glasses will distort the mask skirt and prevent a watertight seal. As a result, using this mask with glasses is not ideal.


Can I wear glasses with my Easybreath mask?

Watch out for sand! Keep your Easybreath mask away from sand to avoid scratching the lens. In the presence of sand, do not force the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask first. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Use a key that you can fit through the snorkel’s rear vents to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel thoroughly.
