Sand or salt sometimes gets stuck between the valve and the hard part of the snorkel, or at the top of the float, preventing the valve from correctly lying flat and ensuring a watertight seal. If this occurs, simply rinse the snorkel well with clean water and make sure the valve lies flat.

What is the Easybreath mask?

Fresh air is pushed towards the lens before it reaches the wearer’s nose and mouth, which helps prevent the mask from fogging up.
The moisture- and CO2-rich air is then pushed out through channels located inside the mask’s rim. The air is constantly renewed. By separating the flow of air going in and out of the mask, the wearer is always breathing in fresh air.

How does the Easybreath work?

The mask uses Dry-top technology. This system was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface, in case of submersion or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. The snorkel is fitted with a float that rises to close the opening when the snorkel is submerged. When this happens, remember to take the snorkel out of the water and blow into the mask to make sure the buoy comes back down.

How the dry-top system stops water from entering

You can repair your Easybreath mask to extend its lifespan. After-sales service is available at your local Decathlon store. The spare parts (strap, cover, snorkels, valves) are also available online or in our stores.

Can my Easybreath 6/10 mask be repaired if it breaks?

Decathlon’s Easybreath 6/10 snorkeling mask is not designed for diving. The air volume in the Subea Easybreath mask is more extensive than traditional diving masks. From just 1 m down, the pressure of the mask becomes very uncomfortable on your face. Freedivers also need to be able to decompress, which is impossible with this mask because the nose is not accessible.

Can I dive with my Easybreath 6/10?

The Decathlon Easybreath mask is the preferred choice for anyone who is wary about diving with a snorkel in their mouth. The Easybreath is ideal for shallow aquatic activities. It allows for natural nose-mouth breathing and a wide field of vision.

Why choose Easybreath over a traditional valve mask?

Beware of sand! Keep your Easybreath mask away from sand, as it can scratch the lens. If you find sand in your mask, rinse the snorkel and mask well before clipping them together. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel thoroughly or use a key to unblock the float valve via the rear vents, then rinse before using.

For age 10+ and small faces, opt for size S/M. For larger faces, use M/L. 
To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask to ensure it fits against your face: there should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask. 

What size Easybreath+ should I choose?

Having a beard prevents your mask’s skirt from fitting properly. Therefore, the seal of this full face mask is not guaranteed for bearded users. For a watertight seal, shaving is recommended. Alternatively, you might also apply a thick balm such as Vaseline. 

Can I wear the Easybreath+ if I have a beard? 

Most glasses distort the mask skirt and prevent a watertight seal. As a result, using this mask with glasses is not ideal.


Can I wear glasses with my Easybreath mask? 

Watch out for sand! Avoid letting your full-face snorkelling Easybreath+ mask make contact with sand as this can scratch the lens. If you find sand in your mask, rinse the snorkel and mask. Rinse the snorkel and mask first. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Vigorously rinse the snorkel or use a key you can fit through its rear vents to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel again.

Place the mask on your face without the strap. Press to make sure the mask is firmly in place.
If the mask “suctions” properly and stays on your face, that means it fits and will be watertight.

If it falls off, you’ll need to try another size, as water will be able to seep in.

How to choose the right mask size

New mask: Wash your mask with liquid soap and warm water. Use your fingers to remove any grease. Don’t use a sponge. 

Before each use, spit into your mask and wipe the lens with your fingers to rinse it.
Wet your face to limit heat loss between the skin and your mask lens. This will help minimize fogging.

Use an anti-fog spray to eliminate fog completely.
