You bought the SIMOND PROBE SKI TOURING 240 CM, between September 1, 2025 – January 29, 2026. You are therefore concerned by the information below.

We ask that you stop using this probe.
Despite our rigorous quality control procedures, we have identified that this product does not meet our safety performance standards. We’ve found an anomaly that may prevent the probe from deploying fully, The ferrules and connectors may become embedded in the tube, preventing it from extending. This mechanical defect may make it difficult to use during a victim search. Given that this is life-safety equipment for the mountains, we are unwilling to take any risks.
As of January 29, 2026, no incidents or injuries had been reported to the company in Canada.
Consequently, we kindly ask you to return your product to your nearest store for a full refund.
