However, if an item does not suit you or if you change your mind, we make the return or exchange process easy for you. Return Periods Whether your purchase was made in-store or online, the following timelines apply: Decathlon Members: 365 Days Enjoy a full year (365 days) from the date of purchase to change your mind and return your item to us in-store or by mail. Condition: The purchase must be registered to your membership account at the time of the transaction. Non-members: 30 Days You have 30 days following the date of your purchase to perform a return or an exchange in-store. Condition: Original receipt must be presented. A government-issued photo ID may be required for any in-store return.

Does my product qualify for a return?

Most Decathlon products are eligible for a return, provided they meet the following criteria: - Resale Condition: The item must be in like-new condition (clean, unwashed, unaltered, and showing minimal to no signs of use). - Original Tags: All original tags and labels must be present and intact. - Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt or a transaction record on your Decathlon membership account is required. Exclusions (Non-refundable items) For safety and hygiene reasons, the following products cannot be returned: - Opened or Expired Consumables: Food, beverages, fish bait, propane canisters, ammunition, etc. - Personalized Products: Items modified or customized specifically for you. - Damaged Products: Items that are stained, soiled, or broken due to misuse. - Specific Safety Gear: Bear spray is never eligible for return. Important Information Shipping Fees: Original shipping and delivery fees paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable. Transit Responsibility: Decathlon is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misdirected return packages. We strongly recommend obtaining shipping insurance from your chosen carrier. Warranty claims: If your product is defective but no longer meets return conditions (due to wear and tear), you may be eligible for a claim under our Warranty Policy. Note: Decathlon reserves the right to refuse any return request that does not comply with the current policy.

For purchases made on decathlon.ca: Items that were purchased online can be returned either at any Decathlon store in Canada (free of charge) or by mail (with applicable fees). It does not matter whether you received your order by home delivery or in-store pick-up (EX: Click and Collect). In-store return is the fastest way to get a refund for your online purchase. This reduces the time required to assess the quality of your return and, therefore, the time required to issue the refund in the original payment method. Exchanges for products purchased online at decathlon.ca must be processed in-person at a Decathlon Canada store. If your item was damaged during delivery, please contact our customer service team. For in-store purchases In-store purchases may be returned/exchanged, free of charge, at any Decathlon store in Canada. For your return to be accepted, it must comply with the conditions of this Return Policy. If your purchase is not registered on your Decathlon Member account, please make sure to bring your purchase receipt with you. In-store purchases sent wrongly via mail to our central distribution center will not be refunded and may be resent to the customer.

No. Postal service is exclusively reserved for returns (refunds). For an exchange, we invite you to visit any Decathlon store in Canada in person.

Standard size items To return a standard package by mail, you must generate a return shipping label via Canada Post. ⚠️ Important: Order number required Your order number (starting with "CA") is mandatory. Without it, we cannot guarantee the processing of your refund. You can find it in your confirmation email or your purchase history. Steps to follow: Create your Canada Post return label here (Canada Post form): Once generated, you will receive the label and shipping instructions by email. Ship the package: Drop off your package at any Canada Post office. Keep your proof: Request and carefully keep your deposit receipt. This is your only proof of shipment in case of a dispute. 2. Oversized items Does your item measure more than 100 cm or weigh more than 30 kg? Do not attempt to mail it yourself. Please contact our customer service team here (contact form); our agents will coordinate a home pickup for you. Responsibilities and Compliance Package Condition: Decathlon is not responsible for damage occurring during transit. Ensure your product is well-protected. Policy Compliance: Any return that does not meet our conditions may, at our discretion, be sent back to you at your expense. Need help? Return shipping fees are flat rates and will be automatically deducted from your refund based on the type of item: - Standard items: $8 (plus taxes) per order. - Oversized items: $18 (plus taxes) for any package weighing more than 30 kg or with any dimension exceeding 100 cm.

Once your return package has been received, Decathlon inspects the condition of your item. If the item meets the conditions of the Return Policy, the eligible refund amount will be credited to the original payment method, with deductions for any applicable fees. If you return an item for a refund, you will also receive a refund for any taxes paid for that item. You will not receive a refund for any shipping/handling charges or sales taxes paid on such charges. Shipping/handling charges are non-refundable once the product has been shipped.

Unfortunately, if you have already mailed your item(s) for return, we cannot cancel the return request. If you chose to ship with your own courier, please check their policy and, if applicable, notify our customer service team of the return cancellation.

Decathlon will issue a refund in the original payment method, with deductions for any applicable return costs. If your purchase was processed by credit or debit, depending on your financial institution, the refund process may take up to 10 business days following issuance. Rest assured that the refund will be initiated within 1 business day after the returned item has been successfully processed at Decathlon. If your purchase was made using a gift card, you will receive a new gift card for the value of the refund amount. If your purchase was made using a coupon, you will receive a gift card for the amount of the original purchase (not for the full-price value of the returned items).

Products purchased online or in-store outside of Canada are not eligible for refunds. Decathlon-branded products purchased outside of Canada may be eligible for an exchange or store credit under this Return Policy if they are currently in stock in Canada. Yes! This Return Policy applies to all of our products. We understand that Second Hand products are often not sold in the same condition as new products and we will take this into consideration when assessing your product’s eligibility for return/exchange.
