Helmets are designed to protect your head from a single impact. If you fall, you should replace the helmet even if there are no signs of damage. It may be weakened or cracked in an area you can’t see, and no longer provide adequate protection.
We recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years. Some of its components begin to age at this point, especially if stored in a cold or wet place. Manufacturing dates are printed inside the helmet.

When should you replace a helmet?

Available in 2 sizes: XS (for a head size of 47 to 52 cm) and S (for a head size of 52 to 54 cm).

What sizes are available?

EN1078 is a European standard concerning the test methods and requirements for cycling, skateboarding and roller skating helmets.
This standard covers the following aspects: construction, including field of vision; shock-absorbing properties; fastening system features, including the chinstrap and tightening systems; markings and information.

What does the EN 1078 standard cover?

The shape of the helmet (covering the back of the neck and ears) is designed for doing boardsports on asphalt.

All kids grow at their own pace. That’s why our size guide is based on age and weight:

All Wedze gloves and mittens have a water-repellent treatment that makes water slide across the fabric’s surface instead of being absorbed. This means the fabric does not become saturated. It remains light and warm. A treatment applied to the outer surface makes the fabric water repellent. To remain effective, this treatment must be renewed every 2 to 3 washes with specific products that are available in our stores.

Water repellency of the component

The mitten’s waterproof membrane consists of a very thin polymer film placed between the lining and the part of the glove in contact with the environment. This membrane acts as a barrier to make the product waterproof. The product’s exterior materials are also treated for water repellency. Only a rubber-type glove is watertight. Under extremely wet conditions, a glove with a membrane will have limited waterproofness.

All Wedze gloves and mittens are windproof. Did you know that the wind makes you feel colder? At an outside temperature of 0°C and a wind speed of 20 km/h, the temperature will feel like -10°C. Windproof fabrics limit wind chill and cold caused by the speed of the sport.

The adjustment dial is key to keeping your child’s helmet secure. The dial allows for easy and precise adjustments, even with gloves on. It also provides maximum comfort and safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.

Adjustment wheel

The helmet has an injection-moulded, ABS outer shell to withstand powerful impacts. High resistance to bumps and knocks. The internal Epos skullcap absorbs impact during collisions. We recommend changing your kid's ski helmet at least every 5 years unless it has sustained a significant impact in the meantime.

ABS structure

The European standard EN 1077:2007 applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding. The standards test the helmet’s ability to absorb shocks and resist perforation. The two categories are:
- Class A: Protects the top and back of the head as well as the ears and side of the head.
- Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.

EN 1077 standard

Measure your head circumference (from the middle of the forehead and above the ears) and choose the right size. When trying it on, there should be no discomfort. If it has no visor, try the helmet with the mask: there should be no gap between the two.
