We perform comparative studies carried out in a thermal laboratory, in light wind conditions (5 km/h). This is how we measure the thermal resistance of our boots. However, every individual feels the cold differently.Comfort temperature: Felt slightly cold and 70% of users found their thermal feeling acceptable on the feet. Limit temperature: Felt extremely cold and 10% of users found their thermal feeling acceptable on the feet.
How do my boots protect me from outdoor conditions?
A 100% waterproof mid-height inner shoe protects the part of the foot most in contact with the snow. The textile upper is water-repellent and warm for good protection against cold and snow.
What is the difference between traction and grip?
The boots’ traction depends on the number and shape of the studs. The grip depends on the sole materials and the tread pattern, like car tires. Traction optimizes propulsion, prevents slipping when going uphill, and stabilizes the boot. Grip prevents the boot from slipping and skidding on smooth ground or in demanding conditions (rain, snow, and ice).

The right footwear for hiking in snow
Follow these guidelines for winter activities: Warmth:Wear warm socks (ideally with a good percentage of wool).
