The tips measure 13 mm in diameter and are made to fit American pool cues.Billiards / snooker tips measure 10 mm in diameter and are made to fit billiards or snooker cues.

Size

Apply the tip to the very end of your pool cue. 
This is the part you use to hit the ball. The tip often wears out and needs to be replaced.
If you recently replaced your tip or have a new pool cue, you’ll need to "make" the tip.
This involves sanding the tip with sandpaper to remove the varnish, soften the leather, and break the angles so that the tip hits the ball evenly.

Nothing could be easier:

Step 1: Remove the damaged tip with a Stanley knife. 
Step 2: Sand down the new tip to a flat surface.
Step 3: Apply the tip with glue, taking care to use the right amount, and then apply pressure for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Soften and shape the tip with sandpaper.
